Adopt a Family 2017
The Stampede City Kinettes were able to give holiday cheer this Christmas season as we donated to Adopt a Family. For some of us it was a first and for the rest it’s a must!
Our club received our adopted family in November along with their wish list. Santa’s helpers checked the list and headed out choosing every gift with love and care in hopes of sharing Christmas cheer with our new family this year! No shortage of helpers and all gifts in tow they went back to the workshop to gather, wrap and get it all ready to go!
Today we dropped off our parcels and as we pulled up to my surprise the Calgary Kinettes and Kinsmen greeted us singing Christmas carols outside. They transferred the parcels and took my daughter and I inside. I almost started to cry, when we saw all the volunteers and the generosity of so many inside.
The Calgary Kinettes said it best,
“If you are looking for something to fill your heart, to make your soul feel full – you’ve found it! This is the project that will change your life!”
