Funds raised at this event support the following local charities: the Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation (ACHF) and the Calgary Community Kitchen with ACHF being the main beneficiary. Over the years that we have partnered with the CalPMA for the Fall Harvest they have raised just over $1,000,000!!! for the kids and families that use our hospital! This could not have been accomplished, without the help and support of our fantastic volunteers. Volunteers are needed to sell the produce, training will be done onsite. You can sign up friends or members of your family to volunteer with you, however I do need the name of everyone who is volunteering. Children older than 12 years are welcome to volunteer accompanied by a parent or guardian so please include the age of any child that will be coming with you. Volunteers are able to buy produce as well. Please accept or decline ASAP with day and time you are able to volunteer Shifts are as follows for both Saturday, September 8th and Sunday September, 9th (Need highest for Sunday shifts) 8:30am to 1:00pm 12pm to 5:30pm 8:30am to 5:30pm - All day volunteers will be provided with lunch

The Remembrance Day Ceremony has played a major role in Remembrance since 1931. Every year, at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, we gather in memorial parks, community halls, workplaces, schools and homes to stand in honour of all who have fallen. On behalf of the Stampede Kinettes we will purchase a wreath through the Legion Branch and will be placing the wreath at the commemorative event. Please join me to observe a moment of silence to mark the sacrifice of the many who have fallen in the service of their country, and to acknowledge the courage of those who still serve. Feel free to bring family and friends. Space is limited at the legion arrive early for parking and seating. Bring Tissue! |

Dec. 17, 2018 6:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Are you known for your amazing gingerbread? Have a secret family recipe for sugar cookies? Maybe you make the best butter tarts or peanut brittle... If so, join your fellow Kinettes for a CHRISTMAS SWEET SWAP!!! OR... If you prefer not to bake, bring along any gifts that can't be wrapped at home and enjoy an evening of holiday fellowship. Please note in the comments when you register that you are coming but are not going to be a part of the exchange.
So it looks like there is more interest in the cookie exchange than I originally expected. I had only used 18 as an example since there are 18 of us total but thought that the actual number would likely be similar to the turnout we have for other events (4-5). So as an alternative to everyone spending days in the kitchen preparing, we have come up with the following instead… How it will work:
*** Please register by December 7th. That will allow 10 days for all us elves to get to work. If you have any concerns or questions about what is required, please let me know.
